Without question, guides can be the single most important element of a successful trip. Guides can provide the interpretive elements necessary for a rewarding journey through the rainforest or share the personal insight into the local traditions and customs needed to ensure that precious vacation time yields unforgettable memories.
On the other hand, being stuck with a bad guide or even just a guide who is a bad fit can ruin a vacation.
To make it easy for you to decide to opt for a private naturalist guide we offer the following guarantee:
If you decide, after the first day that the Naturalist Guide is not worthwhile, we will refund the entire fee you paid for the guide, including that day, no questions asked.
Here’s what one guest had to say…
I just returned from my first trip to Costa Rica and the core of my trip was your 3-day Tortuguero Jungle Odyssey. From the moment I was picked up at my hotel I was impressed with your level of service, it couldn't possibly have been more personal. On the drive out Steve was very informative and friendly, on the boat to Tortuga and on the tour the following day Roberto was also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Tortuga Lodge itself was absolutely perfect in every way, the rooms, the meals and the activities, but Cesar did a remarkable job at welcoming his guests and truly making us feel at home right away.
Unfortunately, I used a different company the next couple days to visit the Arenal area. Although the sights were great, the group was large, the pace was slow, and I ended up feeling like a tourist not seeing everything and not experiencing any of the culture. I am a restaurant manager so service is very important to me. I can't emphasize enough how positively astounded I was by the hospitality of every single member of your staff I encountered.
And to top it all off, yesterday morning I was walking around San Jose before I had to get to the airport when someone greeted me. It was your guide who had accompanied me from the airport back to my hotel. Of all the hundreds of people walking along that street he recognized me and asked if I had made it to Arenal. There is no question that I will be back to see you soon.
