Itinerary
This is an activity-filled trip that takes you from the highlands of Arenal and Monteverde to the coral reefs of Isla del Caño. You will begin in Arenal with a float trip on the Peñas Blancas River. Then walk the Hanging Bridges trails and soak in a natural hot springs in the shadow of the volcano. In Monteverde, you'll hike with a naturalist guide through the Cloud Forest and from January to July - depending upon your luck and patience - you may observe the Resplendent Quetzal in its natural habitat. Finally fly to the Osa Peninsula staying at Drake Bay. You will have three full days to explore the area, hike in the National Park and snorkel the reefs of Caño Island.
