WHAT THE GUIDEBOOKS SAY
Simon & Baker Travel Review, 2006 - "The outstanding natural surroundings of the Morgan’s Rock Hacienda and Ecolodge, combined with the luxury of its accommodations and the friendly service provided by its ever attentive staff, should earn the resort high rankings by any standards. However, what made Morgan’s Rock unique was the success of its creators in translating their commitment to nature conservation, reforestation and community development into a retreat of exceptional architectural and esthetic quality."
COSTA RICA EXPEDITIONS' DESCRIPTION
On a cliff above a private Pacific beach, this ecolodge is stunning for its creative and elegant architecture. Nature and luxury come together to the benefit of guests. Fifteen bungalows are set into the forest above a private beach and are open on two sides to Pacific breezes. The villas are truly a respite from modernity, yet designed to insure that guests don't lack certain modern comforts, like hot water showers. Owners are conservationists, who are involved in reforestation and community development projects. Hot climate.
FROM THE HOTEL'S WEB SITE
Morgan’s Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge is more than just a hotel or luxury resort. It is a unique and natural haven for the true traveler who is looking for a touch of luxury while enjoying the adventure and excitement of an exotic and tropical destination. But most importantly, it is a project of nature conservation, community development and reforestation offering Agro- and Ecotourism at its best.
All fifteen bungalows face west, letting you revere dramatic sunsets disappear into the Pacific Ocean. The surrounding forest adds indispensable privacy and peace to each unit. Most bungalows sit on a cliff overlooking the private bay and estuary. While they have been soundly designed to offer shelter from rain, sun or wind, each bungalow breathes nature. Some may have a tree growing out through the roof but all enjoy an indoor beach garden hosting your own private outdoor shower. |
