This hotel offers eight private bungalows, hacienda rooms and tents set on platforms. The facilities also include a common room and dining area with views of the forest, the Carate Rver and the Pacific coast. The bungalows have a thatched roof, two double beds, a private deck and bathroom with “garden“ shower and tub. Large windows allow for ample air circulation. The hacienda-style rooms are closer to the main lodge and have one double bed and one twin bed. Tents have two single beds and a balcony. Luna Lodge has several walking trails and a large preserve with two waterfalls ideal for cooling off in. Day tours include: hiking in Corcovado Park, horseback riding in the Carate River Valley and lowland plains, kayaking in the Pejeperrito Lagoon, observing turtle-nesting (seasonal), visiting a gold mine and fishing.
