Lonely Planet Costa Rica 2004 - "Florblanca Resort. Brand new in 2002, this intimate, luxurious hotel was built by Susan Money, who owned the extremely successful Sueno del mar B&B in Tamarindo and has many years of experience in upscale pampering. Ten large, romantic, air-conditioned villas are on seven acres of white-sand beach. Each villa has an ocean view and Susan's signature outdoor bath with sunken tub. Facilities include an open-air restaurant, yoga center, naturalist guide, gym, artwork, a music room... Wow!"

Fodor's Costa Rica 2004 - "Named for the white flowers of the frangipani trees that shade the beachfront property, this collection of simply luxurious villas ministers to body and soul. Each handsome villa has an outdoor Balinese-inspired bathroom and a sunken tub. There's a dojo for karate and yoga, a massage therapist, a music room, cable TV in a comfortable lounge, and an art and pottery studio. Two pools flow into each other in front of Nectar, the excellent alfresco restaurant which serves four-course gourmet dinners with inventive menus. Multi course breakfasts are lavish. Resident biologist guides lead horseback tours and nature walks into Cabo Blanco and snorkeling excursions in its surrounding waters."

Discovering the Best of Costa Rica (Media Wiley 2005) - "The individual villas at the boutique resort are some of the largest and most beautiful in the country. The service and food are outstanding, and the location is breathtaking, spread over a lushly planted hillside just steps off Playa Santa Teresa."

Located right on the beach 4 km north of the village of Santa Teresa in one of the most unspoiled areas in Costa Rica's north pacific coast, Florblanca offers 7 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom villas. The bedrooms are air-conditioned; the living rooms have one completely open wall. The indoor/outdoor showers and large tile tubs defy description. The open-air restaurant combines local ingredients with Pacific Rim techniques in what may well be the best cuisine in the Pacific. Florblanca has a pool, and a well-maintained fleet of Mountain Bikes. Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning expert yoga classes are another highlight. Hot climate.

Located on 7 acres of white sand beach, surrounded by world class surf, hidden among the beach almond and plumeria trees, sits Florblanca Resort. A secluded, romantic haven designed for people who want the comforts of the finest resort while enjoying the adventure and excitement of a tropical jungle destination.

No question about it, our beach has some of the best and least crowded surf in the world. Just walk out your front door and carry your board either north or south on the beach - its almost too good to be true! We can store your boards or rent you boards; we'll handle all your surfing needs! And we'd actually prefer you don't tell too many people about the surf!

Aug. 10, 2005''It was a true vacation...no stress.''
Dear Michael, We had a great trip! Everyone we met was professional, knowledgeable and most importantly, very friendly! We loved the Tortuga Lodge. Rebecca (Becky) and Jeraldo where very on top of things and made it a great trip for everyone (that includes all of the people staying at the lodge while we were there!). They even waved good-bye as our plane took off! We felt like we were leaving family.

We flew over to Tambor and stayed at the Hotel Flor Blanca. A perfect second half of the trip. I can't imagine how our trip to Costa Rica would have turned out without CRE! It was a true vacation, meaning there was no stress! All transfers and transportation were smooth and on time. Starting with having someone meet us at the airport and ending with being dropped off at the correct spot as we prepared to depart took away all worries. We are looking forward to our next visit to Costa Rica! Still relaxed in New Jersey...

Aug. 20, 2003“I would come back tomorrow if I could.”
Selena: We could not have been more pleased with the arrangements that you made for us. Everything was just as it was supposed to be. Everyone was waiting for us and the guides were wonderful. We loved Tortuguero because it was so remote. We didn't get to see the turtles because of a big thunderstorm with lightning on the beach so we will just have to go back.

We even enjoyed the long ride in there through the Caribbean lowlands and the banana plantation. We were greeted by the wonderful staff at Tortuga Lodge with fresh tropical drinks and very much enjoyed our stay. The charter airlines are the only way to go, as we did not have to waste any time waiting around. We enjoyed Monteverde but I would skip the twilight tour. It was way too crowded but the guide was excellent. We had a good tour through the Cloud Forest and enjoyed that.

Lapa Ríos Ecoresort was everything that it was supposed to be and more. We loved it. We saw wonderful wildlife right out our cabana deck and we loved surfing the beach there.

Hotel Flor Blanca was also a wonderful find. The accommodations and the staff are unbelievable and the food was some of the best anywhere. The beaches were remote and beautiful and lastly the Hotel Grano de Oro was a great little hotel especially the family suite we had on the last night. I will give you and Costa Rica Expeditions the highest recommendation possible. Thank you so much for making this a most enjoyable, relaxing and worry-free family vacation.

I have to admit I was a little nervous sending so much money with only email traffic to evidence our trip and you were most kind to offer your cell phone number, which of course we didn't need. As soon as we were greeted the first time I knew we had nothing to worry about and everything would be just as arranged and it was.

We will definitely be coming back to Costa Rica let us know if the airlines, Lapa Rios or Flor Blanca ever have any special prices. I would come back tomorrow if I could. I have given your name to a bunch of people and will continue to do so. You are fabulous.

Apr. 16, 2003''You really did a great job of planning our honeymoon.''
Grettel: A week has gone by since we returned to New York. The day we returned, the temperature was a little over freezing, and there had been 7 inches of snow the day before! What an adjustment!

Before any more time passes, I want to send you a word of thanks. You really did a great job of planning our honeymoon - we loved both Hotel Flor Blanca and Lapa Ríos Ecoresort, each in a different way. It was the perfect combination of relaxation, activities, good food, nice people. We really liked the fact that both resorts are small. (We read an article in the New York Times when we returned about a resort in Costa Rica with over 300 guest suites - we would have hated that.) Also, it was wonderful the way all of our transfers were handled flawlessly - with someone to meet us each time, and everything running very smoothly and on schedule. Costa Rica Expeditions totally eliminated the hassle and stress that travel sometimes entails.

The ONLY thing we would have done differently (and I tell you this because I think you are a perfectionist) was the last day. We would rather have stayed at Lapa Ríos Ecolodge until later in the day on Monday, arrived later in San Jose and spent the night someplace convenient and perhaps more modest than Xandari Plantation. We felt like we were just passing time at Xandari, if you know what I mean. That said, we send a big thank you.
