Borinquen Mountain Resort is a good launching point for day trips into Rincon de la Vieja National Park. There are several hikes going from easy to extremely challenging. The crater hike is one of the most challenging and rewarding in Costa Rica. On a clear day from the Von Seebach Crater (extinct) it's possible to see both the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans as well as Lake Nicaragua. The resort has a pleasing spa, ideal for recuperating hikers. Located about an hour's drive from Liberia and 1-3/4 hours from the nearest beach.

Secluded in the picturesque mountains of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, Borinquen Mountain Resort is the perfect place for rest and relaxation or simply to let go with our wide array of outdoor activities. The hotel is close to the city of Liberia and the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, making it readily accessible to the nearby beaches and National Parks.
Borinquen has 33 spacious bungalows and villas that combine rustic design with modern conveniences such as: private decks, hot water showers, A/C, mini bar, satellite TV. The hotel has a restaurant offering national and international cuisine, a snack bar, laundry service and bar. Nearby are the following activities: hot springs, thermal sauna, hiking, ATV tours, mud baths and horseback riding. |
