Tortuguero village
Visit the small town of Tortuguero, with its colorful Afro-Caribbean homes. This is where scientists came to study and tag the thousands of Atlantic Green Sea Turtles that every year, from June to October, come to Tortuguero Beach to lay their eggs. The Sea Turtle museum is a short walk outside town.
